Swansea has signed Wilfried Bony

Swansea has signed 24 year old Bony from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem for €14 million and will be with club for four years untill 2017.

Bony said that his international fellow citizen Drogba, who scored 157 goals in 341 appearances for Chelsea, encouraged him to move to the Liberty Stadium and admitted he is hopeful of etching his name into Premier League like Galatasaray striker.


Bony is hoping to emmulate drogba and said, “Didier had a big career and scored a lot of goals in the Premier League, but I hope to do the same or more."

Chelsea eyed on Bruma

The agent of  Lisbon winger Bruma has confirmed that Chelsea and Galatasaray both have made offers to sign the youngster.

The international player is in demand after scoring five goals for Portugal in the Under-20 World Cup round off season in Lisbon.


Bruma’s agent Catio Balde, told that Chelsea and Galatasaray have offered him €8 million, although that figure is expected to increase as the bidding war evolves.

Blade said "I was in charge of presenting offers to Sporting," . "There are offers from foreign clubs, from Chelsea and from Galatasaray, worth €8 million, that could reach €12 million." 

Everton Sign Arouna Kone from Wigan

Everton have completed the signing of Arouna Kone from Wigan for an undisclosed fee and he has signed a three-year deal at Goodison.


Roberto Martinez had been anxious to strengthen his forward line, an area where Everton were lacking last season, and the arrival of Kone from the manager's former club is a major boost.

Newcastle had tried to hijack the deal over the weekend when their offer met Wigan's release fee, but Kone was always more likely to team up again with Martinez.

The Ivory Coast international passed his medical and agreed personal terms with the Blues, before signing on the dotted line on a three-year deal.

Michu is out for rest of the season


Swansea played another goalless draw with Manchester City and manager Michael Laudrup revealed he will have to do without topscorer Michu for the rest of the season.

The Spaniard has scored 21 goals this season, but he was withdrawn during the second half against City with a hamstring problem.


While Laudrup was not sure if the forward had suffered a tear, it will be enough to end his involvement this campaign.

Laudrup said: "Michu has a hamstring problem. I am not sure if he has torn it but, even if it is less than that, this will be his last game of the season.''

Bale to play World Cup qualifier against Croatia


Gareth Bale confirmed he hopes to play in Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Croatia, despite being withdrawn from the action after just 45 minutes on Friday night's game against Scotland.


There were fears that a strong tackle from Scotland's Grant Hanley had aggravated an ankle injury that had left Bale doubtful for the game in Glasgow, but the Tottenham talisman took to Twitter to assure his fans that his ankle was not the reason for his non-appearance after the half-time interval.

Ricky van Wolfswinkel joined Norwich


Norwich agreed to sign Holland striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel from Sporting Lisbon.

Sporting Lisbon has settled on an undisclosed fee with the Premier League club and the 24-year-old striker is set to join on 1st July on a four-year contract.


Van Wolfswinkel, has scored 82 goals in 188 appearances for Sporting, FC Utrecht and Vitesse Arnhem.

John Cofie back to Old Trafford


Manchester United John Cofie has returned to Old Trafford following the end of his loan spell at Notts County.

The 20-year-old scored on his debut to earn Chris Kiwomya's side a 1-1 home draw against Crewe, but it was the only goal he managed during his month-long stay at Meadow Lane.


Asked if he would like to extend the loan deal, manager Kiwomya told reporters: "I need to sit down with John, the chief executive and the chairman to see where we go from here."
